Handsome men in entertainment

For many ladies and including some guys too, watching a movie with handsome, beautiful actors can be very enjoyable. Although, I appreciate any well made feature film with good acting. It is still without a doubt quite enticing to watch one with an actor who is handsome,talented and portrays a powerful character. I for one do not just like eye candy, I like the whole package.  In this article I list seven actors who are not only beautiful but have also played a role in a very good movie. I hope you enjoy the list!

Mel Gibson – Actor, director, producer and screen writer. Born in the state of New York in the town of Peekskill, Mel later moved to Australia at a very young age. He earned his place in the popular edition of sexiest man alive by people magazine back in 1985. Mostly known for his roles in the lethal weapon movies, directed and won academy for braveheart. Gibson is an extremely talented actor who’s movies and life has often followed much controversy none the less he remains one of the most successful in his industry.

Braveheart – 1995 film Produced by and starting Mel Gibson. The film is the story of a Scottish warrior who gained respect when in the first war of Scottish independence by challenging King Edward I of England. This film went off to win five awards which included best picture and best director.

Gerard Butler – Born in Scotland, before Gerard became famous he appeared on many roles in movies such as tomorrow never dies and tale of the mummy. I first noticed him co starring with Hillary Swank in P.S. I Love you, which is where he first caught my attention. Butler has yet to won an award for best actor but, he sure has won the heart of many who have watched his work and his acting implies he just may have a fine future in the industry for years to come.

P.S. I Love You – The story a woman (Hillary Swank) and her relationship with her husband (Gerard butler) whom suddenly dies. After his death she soon begins to receive letters that were left behind by him for her to embrace the future and the wondourous journey ahead of her.

Russell Crowe – Born in New Zealand, actor and musician. Before Crowe made it to the big screen in the US, he had already begun his acting career with roles in Australia. In the late nineteen nineties he began his fantastic career here in U S. Russell has played along other brilliant actors such as Denzel Washington and Sharon stone. He is best liked for his role in the gladiator.

The Gladiator –This film was first featured in the millennium, starting Russell Crowe. It won Best picture in the Academy Awards.Russell Crowe stars as Roman General Maximus from Hispania who leads the roman army to triumph against Germanic barbarians. The Gladiator is a very intense, powerful and victorious movie. A must see and a must add to your DVD collection film.

Denzel Washington – Born in Mount Vernon, New York on December 1954. He is an actor, screen writer, director and film producer. Considered one of the most brilliant and gifted actors of his time. In many of his films he portrays real life people such as Malcolm X, Rubin Carter and Frank Lucas. Denzel’s big break was when he landed a role on TV series St. Elsewhere; from there on he has gain the respect of Hollywood as an actor with an insurmountable amount of talent.

Training Day – A police drama movie first feature in the year 2001, starting Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke. A film about two Los Angeles narcotic detectives, one of whish is a crooked cop and the other who ultimately gets tangled up in a web of distrust and betrayal.

Leonardo DiCaprio – Born November 11, 1974 in Los Angeles, California This beautiful actor’s first big break was his role in the television sit com Growing Pains. His first Academy nomination was through the movie What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, where he played a mentally handicapped boy. It was the movie Titanic where he gained the fame he now has as an actor.

Titanic – A romantic drama film, directed by James Cameron. This film is about the tragic sinking of the titanic, it stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. It is also a love story of two different people from two different worlds, who fall in love on the ship only to be driven apart by a disaster. A great movie that when first featured was extremely popular and still remains one of the best films ever.

Channing Tutum – Channing first began his career as a model before taking a successful jump at movies. Some of the films he has starred in have been Step Up, G.I. Joe, and Dear John.  He was born on April 26, 1980 in the state of Alabama, when Channing was six he moved to bayous not to far from the Mississippi River when he grew up.

G.I. Joe Rise of The Cobra – Directed by Stephen Sommers and inspired by the comic book G.I. Joe A real American Hero. The story of this movie is about two American Soldiers who join G.I. Joe team after they are attacked by MARS troops. Although, this film had many mixed reviews it grossed very well and they are planning a second part to it.

Chris Pine – This actor was born on August 26, 1980 in Los Angeles, California. He is not only a talented actor but also an educated young man who received his bachelor’s degrees in English at the University of California. His most significant role was in the movie Star Trek where he played James T. Kirk. Chris has had many other roles in films such as The Princess Diaries 2 and Smokin Aces.

Star Trek – A 2009 film directed by J.J.Abrams. It stands as number 11 in the Star Trek films. Chris pine plays James T. Kirk. The movie is about the USS Enterprise in combat with Nero (Eric Bana) who is a Romulan from their future who intimidates the United Federation of Planets. The tale creates an alternate reality through time travel by Nero and Spock who is played by the original Leonard Nimoy.
